How elephants lost their wings

Last week, I read a dreamy book.

Once upon a time, elephants could fly.
But they were rude and noisy.
They destroyed houses and trees, so the gods thought "we have to stop them".
The gods took away their wings while they were asleep, so they became unable to fly.
So that's why elephants can't fly.
